Painted with memories of a fabulous holiday to Sorrento in Italy, this is a playful piece in acrylic with oil and wax on canvas .
I aimed to paint an abstracted still life of jug with lemons on the balcony of our hotel room, with the view out to the beautiful Italian coastline below. This piece fills me with the sense of happy freedom every time I look at it and takes me straight back to that wonderful holiday.
Lidos, limoncellos, people watching and the outrageously beautiful coastline of this stunning part of the world all came into play as I created this big piece on canvas.
