Embracing a lighter colour palette and exploring texture and line, this expressive painting is of an imagined landscape. My inspiration came from crisp winter mornings and walking through wooded trails near my studio. Rocky hillsides, mountain ranges and water filled areas are all discernible, and are based on a collection of vistas I have seen and visited, particularly around Mt Glorious. This was a joyful painting to make recalling many day trips and family picnics. 
It is painted across 2 canvasses of 79cm x 79cm each and both are professionally framed in a deep edged, natural oak float frame.
