This piece, Climbing The Dunes With Verve is a play on words (something I enjoy doing with my titles) and is a story of an adventure we had while living and travelling abroad.
One of the highlights of our overseas posting was camping in the desert dunes in Oman.
We would drive through many small villages on our way out to the wahiba sands and on arriving at the camping spot, we'd make our way to the top and sit together with friends, sipping Veuve and watching the sun set into the horizon.
These were happy experiences in an incredibly beautiful part of the world and I am so grateful I got to experience them.
