This beachscape painting 'Expansive' is in response to how I feel in nature, especially when at the beach. 
The convergence of sky, sea, rocks and sand and the poetic way light and spray is carried on the wind to create a powerful force of energy. 
Being near (or in) the sea is one of my life's greatest joys, so it features heavily in my artwork. I find the sea to be restorative and therapeutic and love the feelings of wellbeing and calm I have at the beach.
I find it to be an immense source of inspiration and happiness when I'm there and I'm filled with wonderful memories of times spent at the beach with my kids. 
I'd be delighted for the viewers to find themselves feeling expansive when they look at this piece too.
