Full Body Float
Many years ago I spent some time travelling through Europe and landed, as always, at a pebbly beach along the Italian coast.
It wasn’t summer yet so the influx of tourists hadn’t begun.  I recall the sky was light blue, the sunlight reflecting off the white boats dotted around the bay.
I was entirely unprepared for how cold the water was, but with full determination and teeth gritted, I alone swam in that freezing water and enjoyed a skin tingling full body float that I still feel to my core today.
