I painted Full Body Float after a lovely sea swim, happily floating in the gently rising swell. I was able to release thought and worry and experiencing the joy of nature.
 
The feeling was meditative and uplifting, and I recall an overwhelming sense of good fortune at having the time and freedom to enjoy our beautiful beaches.
 
Layered pigment creates a field of depth — shifting between shadow and light, tension and release.
