I am enjoying a change of direction in 2021 and returning to abstracting the figure. 
This piece has all the hallmarks of my other work - expressive mark making and interesting compositions that aim to engage the viewer in a first look, then invite you in for a closer inspection to see what else you can find.
 
My process is to paint and collage early layers on the canvas and then to use additive and subtractive techniques to reveal and enhance a form or figure. I am blessed with being pareidolic - having the ability to see patterns, particularly faces and figures, in random information - and after years of stifling it (!) will be exploring this further in my work in 2021.
 
The title Inaudibly Peculiar is a combination and adaptation of text that appears in the collage material I chose to use.
This original artwork is on unstretched canvas and will require framing. It ships varnished for protection, is signed on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
 
The painted area of the canvas measures approximately 39cm x 39cm plus allowance on the sides for stretching and framing. Please message me if you have any questions.
