Je Ne Comprends Pas is a large contemporary statement piece on canvas.
I've used ink, acrylic, spray paint and oil paint along with collage techniques to build up the surface. I began by first painting and drawing on other surfaces such as loose canvas, waxed- and tracing papers and watercolour card.
By combining the different layers and materials I've created a work that is texturally interesting, full of energetic mark making and text, and is vibrant to look at.
