Jetty Jumping
 
Jetty Jumping is a painting full of expressive marks and interesting textures.  As with all of my art, this painting is a culmination of memories of happy times and wonderful places and experiences.
 
I was recalling the freedom of youth, long days spent by the coast, the way we all interact with nature around us.  I wanted the elements to be obvious, the wind, water, tides and sky were all a part of my focus. 
 
My style is very expressive in nature with thick and thin areas of paint and much freedom in mark making in order to express the scenery, the atmosphere and movement across landscapes that were calling to me to be painted.
 
Jetty Jumping has been professionally stretched and framed, and ships varnished for protection.
