Releasing the Old is from my Sensory series which explores experiences that relax my nervous system and bring me joy. 
My inspiration is drawn from my love of the sea and the sense of relaxation I feel when I'm there. My work begins with meditation which helps me get into a space of flow which follows me into the studio when I paint. 
This piece is about letting go of what no longer serves and welcoming the new - creating this piece was a happy and uplifting experience.
