Rockpool Swimming is painted with holidays at the beach in mind. Saltwater rock pools are such a beautiful feature of some Australian beaches and as a keen sea swimmer I am already thinking about my next visit to one this summer. 
This painting is bold and bright in colour palette with subdued areas of thick impasto. I've used collage to highlight some areas. The brushstrokes are exciting and fluid just like a swim in the sea.
